In September, 2014, Marion’s first Bocce Ball Tournament was held. It was a great success and now we are planning round two! Marion Parks and Recreation presents a Bocce Ball Tournament on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10am. The tournament is a two-person team format utilizing official Bocce rules. The tournament is open to the public and is free. Age 16 or over only please. You can register for the tournament by clicking here or the link below. If you do not have a team-mate, you can still register and you will be paired with someone the day of the tournament. Registration deadline is September 17th at 6pm. At that time the brackets will be released as well as the tournament rules. Prizes will be given to the winning teams! Again, this is a free tournament!

The Bocce Ball court is located at Hogin Park in Marion at 14th and Valley Streets. We are hoping to add a few temporary Bocce Courts this year to make the tournament go faster. Bring the family and make a day of it. There is a playground and picnic tables at the park. More information can be had by contacting Marion Parks and Recreation Department or Brian Sprayue. Paper registration forms can be filled out and turned in at the Marion Parks office. Visit this site often for information and details. Let’s Bocce!
